The GulfStream 28X has the same moderate vee hull under the waterline and program as the Gulf Stream 28. The "X" is for extra options such as flared bow, inboard stern drive and a jump cabin.

The GulfStream 28 is a moderate vee, relatively narrow boat (beam/length ratio of 3.4) designed to satisfy a program in which economy and seaworthiness are top priorities.
